You may recognize CCDAL from our weekly Shelter Sunday features.
About the Chocolate Chip Dalmatian Assistance League: Chocolate Chip Dalmatian Assistance League (CCDAL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping unwanted, abandoned, abused, and/or neglected Dalmatians and Dalmatian mixes find loving permanent homes. CCDAL evaluates the temperament of the dogs, fosters the selected Dals in their homes, brings them up to date on vet care, spays or neuters, and provides socialization. CCDAL will take in owner relinquishments for foster (only if there is space available), but CCDAL will assist the owners in finding an appropriate new home by posting their Dalmatian on their courtesy page if the owners will continue to physically and financially support their dog until an appropriate, permanent home is located.
CCDAL's primary goals are:. Rescuing pure-bred Dalmatians and primarily-Dalmatian mixes of good temperament from local shelters before they are euthanized and finding appropriate permanent homes for them. Educating the public about the Dalmatian breed. Assisting owners with all aspects of raising a Dalmatian. Promoting responsible pet ownership. Advocating spay/neuter as a means of decreasing pet over-population. Cooperating with other rescue groups and assisting them whenever possibleCCDAL needs the following donations:
- Martingale collars
- Leashes
- Beds
- Bedding (blankets, etc.)
- Thundershirts

- Qualified foster homes (please see their foster page for more information)
