12 Days of Christmas: City Dogs Rescue
It's the third day of the 12 days of Christmas! Now that you've exchanged gifts with family and friends and are basking in the afterglow of the holiday season, why not play Santa to a very deserving DC area shelter or animal rescue league? Please, keep the spirit of giving going by donating goods or cash to help with their wonderful work saving and bettering the lives of homeless, abused and abandoned animals. We'd like to introduce you to City Dogs Rescue, located in Washington DC. You may recognize City Dogs Rescue from our weekly Shelter Sunday features.
About City Dogs Rescue: City Dogs Rescue was formed for one reason: to rescue adoptable dogs in overcrowded and high-kill shelters where resources are severely limited. They offer a lifeline to as many of these wonderful pups as possible. Sadly, many of the dogs that City Dogs Rescue takes in are just days and sometimes hours away from being euthanized, for no reason other than lack of space. By finding these dogs permanent and loving homes in the DC metropolitan area, they can enrich lives - both human and canine. City Dogs Rescue welcomes your help in any capacity -- through volunteering, fostering, adopting, sponsoring and/or donating.
City Dogs Rescue needs the following donations:
- "Adopt Me" vests (Click here for ordering information)
- Toys
- Blue Buffalo dog food
- Bowls
- Crates (foldable, metal or collapsible - no plastic)
- Beds
