12 Days of Christmas: Rock Creek Cats

Please, keep the spirit of giving going by donating goods or cash to help with their wonderful work saving and bettering the lives of homeless, abused and abandoned animals. We'd like to introduce you to Rock Creek Cats, servicing the DC area. You may recognize Rock Creek Cats from our weekly Shelter Sunday features.About Rock Creek Cats: Rock Creek Cats is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to helping less fortunate felines in the D.C. area. Their main activity is helping outdoor, unadoptable (feral/wild) cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR): humanely trapping them, getting them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and returning them to their environment, while ensuring they have food and shelter. TNR averts kitten births, prevents feral populations from getting out of control, and reduces the number of cats ending up in overloaded, "high kill" shelters.ChampWhen Rock Creek Cats comes across cats who are good candidates for adoption, they get them appropriate veterinary care and foster them until they are placed in loving, permanent homes. Adoptable cats can be viewed at www.rockcreekcats.org at the link "Our Adoptable Cats." The adoption process includes an application, vet reference check, home visit, adoption contract and adoption fee.Rock Creek Cats relies mainly on donations to fund their activities. Rock Creek Cats is a 501(c)(3) charity, which means contributions are tax-deductible. For federal employees, their CFC Number is 81366.Buttercup & MillieRock Creek Cats needs the following donations:
