Natura Pet Products Pet Food Recall Expansion
According to the Natura Pet website there is a pet food recall out on all pet foods Natura produces. The recall was issued issued on April 20th but is still in effect. The recall covers all dry dog, cat, and ferret foods that Natura Pet produces. It also covers most of Natura Pet's treats. To see if you need to stop using any given bag of Natura pet food, check the expiration date on the product. If the food expires on or before March 24, 2014 then you need to pay attention to this recall. The recall doesn't effect canned products. It also does not effect Natura Pet's line of Mother Nature biscuits. The recall is an upgrade of a voluntary recall that had gone into effect in mid-March of this year. It's very important to comply with this recall. The pet food may have been contaminated with Salmonella, which presents a clear danger to both you and your pets as Salmonella can be transmitted between animals and humans with relative ease.If you've been using Natura Pet food that has now been recalled you're going to want to watch your pet for signs of Salmonella. Look for diarrhea, particularly bloody diarrhea, loss of appetite, and vomiting. If you see any of those signs you'll want to get your pet to the veterinarian right away. You may also want to book a doctor visit to get yourself checked out, just in case.In the meantime, you can use this online form to get a clean, safe replacement of your pet food. You only need to turn in the UPC, so you can throw away the bad food. Natura Pet will send you a voucher that you can use to buy new food for free.
